Looking For Alaska

Okay so to get to the point I didn't personally like this novel all too much. I didn't enjoy the story and I didn't find myself reading it all too much. I have to say though that I did like the way the book was laid out from counting down to a moment that changed Pugde's life forever and then past that. I also liked the characters a lot and I liked that the author (John Green) put some of his traits into the main character (Pudge) for example the fact that Pugde likes Religion and last words. You can that the author didn't just grab a bunch of random stuff from the Internet and that he really knew what he was talking about.
Other then that I didn't really enjoy the book.
I give it a 2+ out of 5.

Dark Secrets 1

Today I'll be writing about Dark Secrets 1 by Elizabeth Chandler. This book consists of 2 stories in 1 that do not relate to each other. The only similarity is that they are both situated in the same region. First off was Legacy of Lies which was better then I originally thought it to be. It had romance, a little bit of suspense, mystery and just a hint of fear. It was a good read and it was interesting but I have to say I preferred  Don't Tell. It was definitely creepier on the Creepy Scale and I have to say I found myself reading the second story more often then I was reading the first. I hung on to it more, it was slightly more thrilling.
If I had to rate this book I would give it a 3+ out of 5. It was interesting but it wasn't my favourite read.

Beautiful Creatures

Today, or more like tonight, I'm reviewing the book Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Mostly I read and bought this book on my trip to Indigo because it's a big book and my mother says I eat books up so she insisted I buy this book since it's big (563 pages). So I got it and I read it and I have to say it's a typical love story between a 'creature' and a human. It was everything I expected, a romance that is 'forbiden' and doomed and a boy who is such a sappy love struck weirdo and who knows nothing. In my opinion this book was a major snooze fest. It was boring and very, very, very predictable. I wanted something dark and mysterious and instead I got sappy and expectable, boring and dull. The cover of this book had more horror on it then the actual book itself but for those folks out there who love Twilight and sappy shit like that then this book is for you but for those people who love Harry Potter and Percy Jackson and The Enemy, this isn't a book for you. This book is nothing but 'forbidden love' and 'destiny'. Spare me. I wouldn't even read the second after reading this. I am not compelled to.
I would give this book a 2 out of 5.
Thanks a lot. Please leave your comments bellow. Anything you want me to review, listen to, watch or see please tell me. I appreciate it.

Ramones; Ramones

Okay so this album is Ramones by (of course) the Ramones. It is their first album and it was released in 1976 by Sire Records and was recorded at Plaza Sound, Radio City Music Hall in New York. The front cover photography was done by Roberta Bayley (courtesy of Punk Magazine) and the back cover photography was done by Arturo Vega. All songs were written by The Ramones except 'Let's Dance' written by Jimmy Lee. The Ramones is; Johnny Ramone (guitar), Joey Ramone (lead vocals), DeeDee Ramone (bass), Tommy Ramone (drums).
Side One consists of;
Blitzkrieg Bop
Beat on the Brat
Judy is a Punk
I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend
Chain Saw
Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue
I Don't Wanna Go Down To the Basement
And Side Two consists of;
Loudmouth
Havana Affair
Listen to my Heart
53rd and 3rd
Let's Dance
I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You
Today Your Love, Tomorrow the World

This album is great and definitely one of the best albums I've heard. The album also ranked #33 on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. It's a classic album with fast rhythm songs that will get you dancing and your head bobbing. It's a great first album and it's easy going, fun songs are a definitely worth a listening to. It's original and it screams punk rock. It isn't too hard core or hard to listen to but very well paced and not too angry. The songs are mostly about girls and breakups or about things these weird creatures who called themselves the Ramones are used to. Like sniffing glue for instance. Nothing too deep in the meaning of their songs but they are catchy and will get stuck in your head. I suggest you get the record and listen to it. I also suggest you get in LP form (that's what I have anyway). Long Live Vinyl!
As a wise man once sang Hooray for the USA!
Thanks for reading. Anything you want to share or think should be reviewed please leave in the comments bellow. I really appreacite it.

Vinyl Princess by Yvonne Prinz

Prinz has made herself a fantastic book here and if you yourself love music then you must no doubt read this book. You will find yourself falling into the world of Allie, a teen music junkie with a vinyl collection beyound anyones beliefs and a music knowledge that will blow your mind. I absulutely love this book and it made my passion for music even stronger which i didn't think was possible but turns out it was. It's a great summer read and it has an easy going passe,  it's witty, charming, heartfelt and oftenly very funny.
I swear you'll find yourself running to your nearest record store looking to buy everything (or your favourite music) after you've finished it. You'll want to keep the vinyl alive! I know I did.
When reading you will find yourself in the world of music, love, friendship and the art of letting things go and embrassing what's to come. It's simply fantastic and every characters personalities are completely different to one another and you can relate to nearly every one of them. Each is unique in their own way and every one of them will get you to smile. This book is deffinitely a page turner and Allie's albums and songs are deffinitely worth listenning to. It makes you really realize how our world is deffinetly changing, it combines the past and the present together perfectly, making something spectacular. So find out if your a NeonNouveau or if your a Vinyl Junkie and read The Vinyl Princess by Yvonne Prinz.
(I give this book a 4+ out of 5)
